One of my garage doors (originally installed by Precision Door Service in 2016) started to experience some open/close problems a few night ago, and then failed to open altogether. Carl came out the next afternoon during the first hour of the 2-hour window and checked it out. By powering the opener off and on a couple of times he was able to get the door working correctly again. Unfortunately, there were no error codes on the opener so he wasn’t really able to determine what the original problem was. He said that if it happened again, they’d come out and probably replace either the opener motor or a circuit board in the opener. He explained in detail how the locking mechanism worked and how to deal with locking the door manually (if the power is out). He also did an inspection of both doors, made sure they were properly balanced and lubricated both of them. Also – a shout-out to Dakota, who walked me through some of the locking procedure during a phone call the night of the failure. Thanks, guys!
