One of the remote controls to open the garage door was stolen, and we needed the opener to be reprogrammed before the thief returned to burglarize the garage. We also needed a replacement remote.
The good news is that this was easily accomplished with a service call that lasted less than 30 minutes. This included reprogramming the keypad as well as an additional routine lubrication of the garage door mechanisms. Tech came equipped with necessary replacement parts.
The bad news is that the appointment was scheduled for more than 24 hours after my call. We are in Seattle, not some distant suburb. And the service was completed quickly and easily. It took additional calls to get someone to tell me how to secure our property while we waited for service. In addition, the service tech did not know that the key pad could not be programmed with the same code as before, so we spent more time on that than should have been necessary.
Good health/safety precautions in executing the work and completing necessary paperwork. Masks and reduced physical contact with surfaces much appreciated. Tech was pleasant and polite, and he called 30 minutes before arrival. Also appreciated.
