We appreciate the prompt response for service. Alas, we are disappointed at the outcome. Precision Door does not seem to be standing by its installation work. The issue seems to be a failing support beam that is pressing down on the door. While we don’t expect PD to repair this cost free, we are disappointed this wasn’t noticed 3 years ago at installation, especially since there was some framing done for the overall opening. The entire support system for the opener rests on this beam. How could this have been missed? It is unfortunate that this wasn’t taken into account at any point in the estimate or installation, where someone could have pointed out a header that was improperly supported. We would have taken steps to correct this. Now, we are left with your response of “well, you can get a contractor to fix it.” This isn’t standing by your work in terms of confidence or longevity. I will not recommend your company to any neighbors in the future (which is how we found you). I will put up a reviews of this situation on social media to warn others. I am very disappointed. We weren’t looking for a bargain door. It seems like you just made a sale and are leaving us high and dry.

Jake is an outstanding tech! Was on schedule and quickly diagnosed the problem and correctly removed and replaced both lift springs. The broken spring was only three years cold (installed my Ben Bahr in Aug. 2017)! Probably a spring manufacturing defect we think. Jake readjusted the door closure and tightened all door fitting retainers and instructed me on easy way to rein gage the closer after emergency release opening. I intend to ask for Jake for my future Precision door work!
