The purpose of this service call was to acquire two new remote controls and to eliminate all previous door control codes. This purpose was accomplished. Thank you. Decided in August 2020 to go with recommendation of Precision Door and replace my opener with the Marantec Synergy 260 since it was a quality German made product. DJ did a great job installing and educating me along the way. Several months ago (2021) and again recently Feb/Mar 2022, we had a couple instances of door opening uncommanded. This last time I also got a error code 48 which isn’t in manual and also was unknown to Maratec customer service and Precision Door installers. So, I had a service call today (4Mar22) and asked for DJ. He came and was puzzled at the issues, but adjusted open/close settings and we confirmed I had no old battery in remote ( I don’t even use mine since my car is programmed). I paid the nearly $100 service call as I expected since I knew this isn’t under warranty. I then mentioned to DJ I wanted to be sure to fix issue while under the two year manufacturers warranty since I had until August. He said that it was only a one year warranty per Precision Door. He seemed surprised the manual I had described a 2 year warranty for my model, took a picture of this and said he’d follow up with his manager. I don’t doubt his word as he seems to be a great guy and I believe he’ll follow up for me. I am surprised this line isn’t even made anymore and a little concerned I’m already having issues since it wasn’t cheap; especially to a retired military guy! Marantec Written Warranty: - The Synergy 260 System Limited Warranty is 2 years for parts and a Limited Lifetime Warranty for the motor, gear assembly and rail system. -All accessories offer a one-year warranty. -All LED lighting system products offer a 5-year warranty.
