Reprogramming and Re-coding Your Remotes and Keyless Entry

Whether you just had a brand new garage door opener installed or you just need to update your remotes and keypads, there will come a time when you need to understand recoding. At Precision, our PD operator's remotes and keypads are incredibly easy to reprogram and with just a few simple steps, you should be back up and running in no time at all! In this Video, we will run through the process step by step, but if you ever feel lost or uncomfortable doing it on your own, please give us a call anytime!

If you need to change a preexisting PIN follow these simple steps:

  1. Press and hold button for at least 3 seconds. (LEDs will flash slowly.)

  2. Release button

  3. Enter current PIN

  4. Press ENTER button (LEDs will flash rapidly.)

  5. Enter new 4 digit PIN

  6. Press ENTER button (Keypad will light up for 2 seconds)

To enter a temporary PIN:

  1. Press and hold button for at least 3 seconds. (LEDs will flash slowly for 10 seconds.)

  2. Release button

  3. Enter current PIN

  4. Press ENTER button (LEDs will flash rapidly.)

  5. Enter new temporary 4 digit PIN

  6. Press ENTER button (Keypad will flash very rapidly)

  7. Press the number of times you would like the temporary PIN to work (99 max)

  8. Press ENTER button (Keypad will light up for 2 seconds)

*Please note that for your temporary PIN to take effect, you must complete steps 3-5 in under 10 seconds.
